GDOT To Begin Resurfacing Of Ga. 141

Milling, inlay and resurfacing of Ga. 141 from the Gwinnett County line to the Forsyth County line should begin July 15.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Contractors for the Georgia Dept. of Transportation (GDOT) are scheduled to begin milling, inlay and resurfacing of Ga. 141/ Medlock Bridge Road in Fulton County, from the Gwinnett County line to the Forsyth County line, approximately 5.4 miles. Work should begin July 15.

The project is tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-July 2019. However, weather and work conditions may change the contractors’ work schedule.

Large equipment is needed for resurfacing operations, so lane closures will be needed to ensure driver and worker safety. The contractor is limited to overnight lane closures, generally 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., 7 days a week, to avoid peak commute traffic and to allow maximum work hours towards an on-schedule completion.
