  1. The Johns Creek Diwali Festival, celebrating the festival of lights, will take place at Shakerag Park from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. In response to the upcoming closure of Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center, Fulton and Dekalb Counties collaborated with the state to provide a multimillion-dollar financial rescue package for Grady Health System. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said the state will provide $130 million dollars, part of the remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allotment, to permanently increase Grady Memorial Hospital's capacity by about 200 beds.
