- The Johns Creek Police Department posted that missing 11-year-old Janayah Richardson was located and returned home. She went missing around 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the area of Johns Creek Commons. On Oct. 12 around 10:50 p.m., the JCPD announced she was found safe. (Johns Creek Police Department via Facebook)
- The Johns Creek City Council has selected New York-based artist Ilan Averbuch to repurpose the historic Rogers Bridge steel into a public art piece. The piece will celebrate the connection between Johns Creek and Duluth. The proposed sculpture, which will be approximately 18 feet tall, is expected to be completed in nine months. (Appen Media)
- Johns Creek City Council recently approved an agreement with Fulton County Schools to improve coordinated response to critical incidents that occur on school grounds. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalizes the working relationship between the schools and the Johns Creek Police Department. The Johns Creek Police Department and the school's first joint training for response and command to critical incidents are planned for later this month.
