Parts of metro Atlanta and north Georgia, including Fulton County, are now included in a Winter Weather Advisory for 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29. According to the National Weather Service, total snow accumulations will be up to one and half-inch along and north of Carollton, Marietta and Canton. Snow-covered roads and limited visibility are expected, and drivers are strongly encouraged to stay off the roads if possible.

"Lesser amounts of snow are likely right along the Interstate 85 corridor," NWS states in its message. "In addition, any moisture left on the roadways, especially in sheltered or protected areas will likely refreeze, increasing the potential for black ice development."
