Johns Creek Mayoral, City Council Debates Set For This Month
Student Leadership Johns Creek will be hosting two candidate debates this month on Sept. 23 and Sept. 30.
JOHNS CREEK, GA — Student Leadership Johns Creek will be hosting two candidate debates in September.
The first is the mayoral debate which will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23 at the Standard Club, 6230 Abbotts Bridge Road. It will feature the two candidates, John Bradberry and Brian Weaver, both vying to become the second mayor of Johns Creek.

The second debate will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30 between nine candidates looking to fill four city council posts.

There will be a 30-minute meet and greet prior to both events beginning at 6 p.m.
The debates will be moderated and run by a group of students who will come up with moderators, timekeepers, and all the questions.

The Student Leadership Johns Creek Secretary of State Ambassadors consist of nine students who work in conjunction with the Secretary of State’s office to facilitate events to educate and encourage our citizens to become more involved in local politics.
The students include: Anastacia Stoyanov, Harrison Frank, Aashwin Sharma, Shruti Nemala, Tara Ramesh, Tiya Ranchod, Peter Gottschalk, Ava Sun and Poorvi Iyer.
