Local NCL Chapter Recognizes Senior Class of 2025

National Charity League Northeast Atlanta Chapter Recognizes Senior Class of 2025 for Achievements

The Northeast Atlanta Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), the nation’s premier mother-daughter volunteer organization, recently celebrated its graduating high school seniors at the annual Senior Recognition Ceremony and Dinner Dance which took place at the Standard Club in Johns Creek. The formal event is a time-honored tradition of NCL, honoring the graduating “Ticktockers” upon completion of the NCL six-year program.

The NCL Class of 2025 girls recognized for their accomplishments and service to our community were: Katie Ahern, Kalina Bhandari, Myra Chatwal, Kendall Davis, Nicole Dunn, Charlotte Ferdon, Emma Glazier, Olivia Noel, Seren Parichabutr, Vaughn Parichabutr, Shawn Lee Powell, Bailey Rayburn, Chloe Robinson, Caitlin Rohner, Grace Williams, Sarah Wren, and Jasmine Yammout.

The graduating class represented five local high schools including Centennial High School, Innovation Academy, Johns Creek High School, Meadowcreek High School, and Wesleyan School.

“The Class of 2025 has dedicated six years to a program that strengthens the mother-daughter bond through meaningful community service, fostering compassion, and a commitment to helping those in need,” said Kara Byrd, President of the NCL Northeast Atlanta Chapter. “It has been an honor to witness their growth into confident young adults, and we are proud that their time with NCL has equipped them to lead, serve, and thrive in the future.”

The event featured a traditional white dress ceremony where each senior Ticktocker was presented individually, accompanied by a heartfelt parental tribute. Together, the 17 young women of the 2025 Ticktocker class, along with their mothers, volunteered more than 4021.5 hours at 27 local charities, including the American Heart Association, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House, Autry Mill Nature Preserve, Blessings in a Backpack, Chattahoochee Nature Center, CURE Childhood Cancer, FurKids, Jesse’s House, Meals By Grace, North Fulton Community Charities, Operation Gratitude, Rainbow Village, Strive for Girls, Sunrise Senior Living, and The Sandwich Project. The top three philanthropies served were The Sandwich Project (386 hours), Blessings in a Backpack (141 hours), and Jesse’s House (80 hours).

Special awards were presented to multiple Ticktockers, including the Merci Award for most hours served during the 2024-2025 service year to Shawn Lee Powell, the Modelette Award for the top three philanthropy hour earners to Shawn Lee Powell, Vaughn Parichabutr, and Seren Parichabutr, and the Senior Service Award awarded for most philanthropic hours served during the six years in NCL to Shawn Lee Powell (900.50 hours). Three Mother-Daughter awards for completing philanthropy hours together during the current chapter year were awarded to Zonya Barfield & Shawn Lee Powell, Victoria Scudder & Seren Parichabutr, and Victoria Scudder & Vaughn Parichabutr.

Both the Yellow Rose Bouquet Award for completing 100+ hours of service in combined chapter philanthropies and the Mission Bell Award for completing 50+ hours of service in one chapter philanthropy were earned by Shawn Lee Powell. Shawn Lee also earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the White House (Bronze Young Adult Level). The Star Award for most leadership hours in the class and the Angel Award for random acts of kindness and going beyond were both awarded to Grace Williams.
