- Local residents are researching the finer points of their family history and the history of the community at the Macedonia African Methodist Church Cemetery, where generations of the Johns Creek, Atlanta metro, and American southeast Black community are buried. Unfortunately, much of the history of these families is shrouded by time, as oral traditions are often the only source available. Local historian Kirk Canaday and others with the Descendants of Macedonia Cemetery are doing the work to map and tag unmarked and unknown graves on the Cemetery site, which was once owned by George Morgan Waters as a plantation. - Johns Creek and Roswell have been ranked as two of the top U.S. cities to live in by Livability, excluding locales with a population over 500,000. Johns Creek came in at No. 1, thanks to the large concentration of healthcare providers, the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, Autrey Mill Nature Preserve, and other local attractions which enhance the local quality of life. The city received a score of 877 out of a total of 1,000, and Roswell ranked No. 11 with a score of 832. (WSB Atlanta)
- The State Election Board voted unanimously on Tuesday, Jun. 20, to allow Fulton County's Board of Elections to continue to have primary responsibility for elections within the regional subdivision, despite the controversy surrounding ballots cast in Fulton during the 2020 presidential election. Per the Election Board, since the performance review mandated by Republican legislators in the 2021 General Assembly session, Fulton has made sufficient improvements to justify continued independence from the state government. Despite declining to subordinate Fulton County to the state government, state-level officials continued to emphasize that Fulton should improve its readiness and procedures ahead of next year's presidential contest.
