- At the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) negotiations on Friday, Sep. 23, Fulton County and its 15 municipalities offered proposals and counter-proposals about the LOST revenue shares. Fulton County wants more than the 4.97 percent share it has been receiving for the past 10 years. The next mediation session will take place on Friday, Oct. 7. (Appen Media)
- Hundreds of people, including Johns Creek residents, protested the murder of Mahsa Amini in downtown Atlanta on Sunday night, Sep. 25. The Iranian 'Morality Police' severely tortured and killed the 22-year-old for wearing her hijab, or headscarf, incorrectly in Iran. A child protester from Johns Creek said, "In Iran, their Internet was cut off, so we could be their voice." (FOX 5 Atlanta)
