- The City of Johns Creek launched its new Customer Self-Service (CSS) Portal, which allows customers to apply for permits, request inspections, track application status, and pay fees online. Residents are "encouraged to use the CSS Portal, but the city will accept hardcopy permit and plan submittals during this transition period through the end of the year." (City of Johns Creek)
- T.A. Cunningham, a 6-foot-6 and 265-pound five-star defensive lineman who starred last season as a sophomore at Johns Creek High, is now homeless in California and ineligible to play football. Cunningham moved to California because Georgia does not allow high schoolers to sign NIL deals. Last week, he filed a lawsuit against California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) for denying his hardship waiver, which he needs to play football in California. Days before CIF denied his waiver, Cunningham said, "I'm just looking forward to getting back on the field." (The Athletic)
