Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, former member of the Johns Creek City Council, is running against two well-respected challengers in the Nov. 8 general election. Democrat Bee Nguyen, a Georgia House member, and Libertarian Ted Metz, a former candidate for Georgia governor, are both running against Raffensperger, the Republican incumbent, for Secretary of State. (Savannah Morning News)
  2. The Kroger shopping center driveway on Barnwell Road is now closed and will remain closed for the duration of the Barnwell at Holcomb Bridge Road intersection construction. Motorists can use the entrance/exit at Holcomb Bridge Road or on Nesbit Ferry Road. Click here to learn more about the construction plan. (City of Johns Creek, Georgia - Government via Twitter)
  3. Jack Coco, an undersized offensive lineman and long snapper out of Johns Creek High School and later Georgia Tech, never stopped pursuing his NFL dream. He recently made the Green Bay Packers' 53-man roster! Caralla, Georgia Tech's head strength and conditioning coach, said, "A lot of people will say, 'Man, they got a long snapper, 'No, they got a warrior.' They got a guy that just broke every rule. They got a guy who just broke the whole book of odds." (Packers)
