Here are the top three stories today in Johns Creek:

  1. The City of Johns Creek took to Instagram to offer updates on the process of development for the new Town Center, located on what was once the State Farm campus. The Town Center will be side-by-side with the Medley development, and in total will encompass 192 acres, 43 of which will be under the purview of the Medley enterprise, and another 12 will be home to a new Boston Scientific facility. (City of Johns Creek via Instagram)
  2. Fulton County prosecutors pursuing a racketeering case against rap artist Young Thug, given name Jeffery Williams, are seeing pushback in the process of bringing the artist's song lyrics into a 56-count gang indictment originally filed in May of last year. In specific, the prosecution has tried to introduce lyrics from Young Thug's 2018 single Anybody into the case against him, while Young Thug's attorney Williams has been critical of the effort, and has filed a motion against it, claiming that at the federal level, the courts are reluctant to take lyrics as evidence against a defendant. 3. Nearby Sandy Springs is nailing down more details related to the second phase of the ongoing City Springs Development, with firms Regent Partners and Morris and Fellows marked as preferred for the continuation of the project. Sandy Springs city officials are expected to continue to confer with representatives of the firm in order to finalize the details of the project moving forward.
