The Johns Creek Patch calendar is full of news about events coming up in the weeks ahead. Here's a look at five of this week's community events. Click on the links in the listings for more details.


Parent and Teen Driver Safety Class: Tuesday, Oct. 2, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. A free two-hour course designed to help parents and their new teen drivers, ages 14-16, learn what they need to do during the 40 hours of supervised practice driving time.

Johns Creek Chamber Business Expo: Friday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The 2nd Annual Johns Creek Chamber Business Expo! Learn about new products and services to help your business grow. Discover new innovative technologies. Network with other business professionals and build relationships with prospective customers. 

Johns Creek Community Safety Day: Saturday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The Johns Creek fire and police departments perform several demonstrations as part of Community Safety Day in the Target and Home Depot parking lot, 5950 State Bridge Road, Johns Creek. 

Taste of Johns Creek at Chattahoochee High School: Sunday, Oct. 6, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. The 6th Annual tTaste of Johns Creek at the Hooch features restaurants that will provide unlimited free selected samplings from their menus. Chattahoochee High School.

Johns Creek Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day: Saturday, Oct. 12, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Johns Creek residents can clear out their garages by dropping off all those half-empty paint cans, dead batteries and other toxic, domestic products. Pre-registration is required and space is limited! Because of the potential volume of hazardous waste and affiliated costs, the event is limited to Johns Creek residents.
