3,200 Graduates Expected At Kennesaw State Commencement
Starting May 9, Kennesaw State University President Samuel S. Olens will preside over five graduation ceremonies on campus.
KENNESAW, GA -- Kennesaw State University expects more than 3,200 graduates at its spring commencement next week, the school announced Tuesday. KSU President Samuel S. Olens will be at the helm of five graduation ceremonies in the university's Convocation Center.
Among the speakers for commencement ceremonies starting Tuesday, May 9 are the first black female Air Force general, an internationally recognized entrepreneur, and a high school dropout who went on to become a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army and will graduate from medical school this month. The commencement ceremonies will kick off on May 9 at 10 a.m.
All commencement ceremony attendees, including infants and children, are expected to get tickets to enter the events. Each graduate is allotted a certain number of tickets for family and/or friends.

Speaker: Trenton “Trent” D. Turk, chief executive officer, GeoSurvey, Ltd.
7 p.m. – Graduate College

Speaker: Michael J. Coles, entrepreneur
MAY 10, COMMENCEMENT SCHEDULE
10 a.m. – College of Humanities and Social Sciences

Speaker: Lt. Gen. Stayce D. Harris, assistant vice chief of staff and director, Air Staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force
2 p.m. – College of the Arts; Bagwell College of Education; WellStar College of Health and Human Services; and University College

Speaker: 2nd. Lt. Anthony Hawkins, U.S. Army
KSU offers more than 150 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees to its more than 35,000 students at at its two metro Atlanta campuses. The university is part of the University System of Georgia and the third-largest university in the state.
To receive allotted commencement tickets, graduates must register through Ticket Alternative’s website.
