Active Shooter Response Training Coming to Kennesaw
If you've been curious as to what to do if you're ever caught in an active shooter situation, Kennesaw Police are hosting a seminar soon.

Staff Report
KENNESAW, GA -- The City of Kennesaw Police Department will be hosting a seminar titled Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events. The seminar is in accordance with the F.B.I. recommended ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) program from the Texas State University.
The purpose of this seminar is to give instruction about how to prepare for and respond to being trapped inside an active shooter event. On average it will take law enforcement at least three minutes from the time they are notified before officers first arrive on scene. Although American law enforcement has the quickest response time in the world, a gunman can still wreak havoc on many innocent people before help arrives. There are several simple steps that those trapped inside by the gunman can take to assist before the inevitable law enforcement response and limit the number of potential victims accessible to the shooter.
We would like to invite you to attend this seminar. Please be advised that this seminar will contain adult content and some videos will depict actual footage of active shooter events, it is not recommended for young children.
