Bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews will make an appearance in Marietta on Wednesday to promote a new book with a Christmas holiday theme.
Andrews will be at Gabriel's Restaurant and Desserts, 800 Whitlock Ave., from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday.
She is marking the release of "Christmas Bliss," and the event is being organized by the Book Exchange on Canton Road in Northeast Cobb.
The event is a holiday tea, and guests are asked to bring cookies to be sampled by Andrews and restaurant owner Johnnie Gabriel, who will serve as judges. The contest winner will receive a gift basket with signed books, among other prizes.
Tickets are $27 a person and include an autographed hardcover edition of "Christmas Bliss."
