Roads have had to be closed due to the fire, Marietta police said on Facebook.

About two acres were burned, police said.
The road closures come the same week a bill to preserve a historic piece of property at the mountain park passed the U.S. House. The legislation means that the National Park Service will assume control of the parcel. The property was untouched by the fire.
