Body Found In Acworth Belongs To Woman Killed In Kennesaw

Police identified the woman they say was killed in Kennesaw and whose body was moved to Acworth.

KENNESAW, GA — The body of a woman killed in Kennesaw was found in Acworth Friday, according to authorities.

The woman who was killed was identified as 40-year-old Amanda Sharpe.

The cause of death has not been determined.

Police said Sharpe was killed in the 3000 block of North Cobb Parkway, and her body was moved to Ivey Road.

The Kennesaw Police Department took over the investigation Saturday and arrested Jake Stephen Schell, 27, in connection with the case, police said.

Schell is charged on suspicion of concealing the death of another, tampering with evidence, four counts of financial transaction card theft and other charges, police said.

He's being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, police said.
