Cobb County 4-H Offers Info on Clubs

Young Cobb residents can join the Horse and Pony Club or the Young Farmer's Club.

From the Cobb County 4-H Horse and Pony Club

Through Cobb County 4-H, youth interested in horses have an opportunity to participate in Horse & Pony Club providing them with knowledge and experience in horsemanship, showmanship and sportsmanship. 4-H is a Volunteered Lead program that encourages youth to strive to develop leadership abilities and also to operate as a member of a team. YOUNG FARMER’S CLUB

EXPERIENCE AND LEARN ABOUT FARMING WITH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES

The objectives of this Club are:

  • Teach Members a variety of methods in which food can be grown
  • Provide members with hands-on farming
  • Strengthen members’ knowledge of local farms and farming in Georgia
  • Give members an opportunity to interact with farmers
