18 Georgians were arrested at the end of a three-month investigation by the GBI into the possession and distribution of child porn.

Three Cobb County men were among 18 Georgia residents who were arrested and charged with crimes related to possessing or distributing child pornography at the end of a three-month GBI investigation, the bureau said.

The GBI said that 32 other state and federal law enforcement agencies cooperated with them during the investigation, which culminated in the execution of 24 search warrants across 16 counties on Wednesday.

Agents said that 69 digital devices were examined and 232 digital devices were seized during the course of the investigation.

“The investigators who work child exploitation cases are some of the most dedicated law enforcement officers there are, despite the psychological toll this type of investigation exacts on them,” Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Commander and GBI Special Agent in Charge Debbie Garner said in a statement.
