Keep Cobb Beautiful staff is offering residents a chance to recycle many household items at the Community Recycling Center 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sat., April 20. The event will be held at Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta. Activities will include: <ul> <li>Document Shredding <ul> <li>Secure/onsite/free</li> </ul> </li> <li>Electronics Recycling <ul> <li>Computers, laptops, printers, accessories</li> <li>NOT ACCEPTED: CDs or DVDs</li> <li>TVs - $10 collection fee</li> </ul> </li> <li>Latex Paint Recycling <ul> <li>$4 per gallon</li> <li>NOT ACCEPTED: Solvent (oil) based paint</li> <li>Can mix like (identical) colors before drop off</li> </ul> </li> <li>Styrofoam Recycling <ul> <li>All Styrofoam must be white, clean, free of tape, labels, debris, etc. </li> <li>NOT ACCEPTED: egg cartons, food trays, cups, or packaging peanuts</li> </ul> </li> <li>Textiles Collection <ul> <li>Shoes, clothing</li> <li>Area rugs, sheets, comforters, curtains</li> </ul> </li> <li>Battery Recycling <ul> <li>Household (AA, 9 volt, etc) – tape ends</li> <li>Cell phones, power tools</li> </ul> </li> </ul> For more information, call 770-528-1135.
