Ludowici is in Long County and is roughly an hour southwest of Savannah.Long State Prison is a medium-security facility that houses up to 232 male inmates in four open dormitories, according to the department. There are also isolation and segregation cells.The prison offers on the job vocational training, re-entry classes, and cognitive behavior groups meant to help inmates better cope with the outside world and learn how to be productive members of society.Inmate Church's maximum possible release date is Dec. 3, 2033, at which time he would be 85 years old.
