Kennesaw Administrator Wins PTA Outstanding Principal of the Year

Kennesaw Elementary School Principal Monica Howard beat out 179 others to win PTA Outstanding Principal of the Year.

KENNESAW, GA -- The head administrator at Kennesaw Elementary School has been named the District 9 PTA Outstanding Principal of the Year. The honor means Monica Howard, will now advance along with 12 other principals for an opportunity to win PTA's Outstanding Principal of the Year statewide.

Howard was chosen from a list of principals representing 179 schools. The Parent-Teacher Association recognizes principals who are supportive, helpful, and take a personal interest in the PTA activities.

The District 9 PTA is the largest PTA District in Georgia and includes several metro Atlanta PTA Councils, including those in East Cobb County; Douglas County; South Cobb; Paulding County and Marietta. The Tom Mathis Sr.; Jessye Coleman councils are also part of the district.
