Kennesaw Farmers Market, Get Fit, National Cheesecake Day

• Tuesday is National Cheesecake Day, which celebrates the smooth, creamy, decadent dessert and all of its wonderful flavors. • Local convenience stores may be busy the next few days as lottery players snatch up tickets in the hopes of winning a big jackpot on Wednesday. How big? Try $235 million.
• Looking for fresh fruit, vegetables and other delectables? Check out the Kennesaw Farmers Market. On Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., an average of over 30 local farmers and merchants offer fresh tomatoes, flowers, seasonal fruits and vegetables, baked goods, plants, herbs, and a variety of local food and products. • Meet up with other residents who are interested in walking on the Kennesaw Trail System for health, fun and fitness. Walking at a moderate pace for 30-60 minutes burns stored fat and can build muscle to speed up your metabolism. Tuesday, 9 a.m. Meet up at the trailhead of the southernmost link of the trail system (northeast parking lot of the Kennesaw First Baptist Church).
