Kennesaw Hosting Blood Drive Next Week

The blood drive will run from 2 to 7 p.m. Oct. 13, according to the city; find out how to book an appointment today.

The City of Kennesaw is preparing to host a blood drive next week and is inviting residents to participate in the life-giving event.

The blood drive, which will run from 2 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, will be held at the Ben Robertson Community Center on Watts Drive. Donors will be in and out in about 45 minutes, with the actual blood draw taking only eight to 10 minutes, the city’s website says.

Donors at the Kennesaw blood drive can give blood and platelets normally, or can elect for a double red cell donation which uses a special machine to take two units of blood but return your plasma and platelets back to your body.

It’s not necessary to book an appointment time, but you can do so by visiting the American Red Cross’ website or by calling them at 1-800-RED-CROSS.
