Kennesaw Hotel Shooting: Staffer Injured, Suspect In Custody

KENNESAW, GA — A hotel employee was shot by a guest early Monday morning at Cobb Place Boulevard, Cobb County Police said.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. at a Kennesaw hotel, injuring the staffer, police said. Officers spent hours canvassing Cobb Place, searching for a suspect.

Police said someone called 911 to report a suspicious person around 10 a.m., and officers were able to then locate and arrest the shooting suspect in their hotel room.

The employee who was shot was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and is expected to recover, police said.

The suspect was not identified, and potential charges are unknown. It is unknown what led to the shooting.
