The course will be led by a longtime human resources executive.

From KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education

The College of Continuing and Professional Education has announced a new class titled Business Acumen for Professionals. The seminar will be led by longtime human resources executive Ed Nangle at KSU Center on Oct. 23 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Registration is $319 and includes a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The workshop is designed to educate HR and payroll professionals, all levels of management, business leaders and students. Individuals aspiring to become business leaders about business acumen will learn how financial intelligence can impact their careers in becoming a true business leader.

Nangle, a former longtime instructor for the College’s HR Management program, possesses more than 40 years of industry experience. He is the founder and president of Corporate Management Consulting, Inc., and is well known for his contributions to the development of HR professionals through teaching the SHRM Learning System®.

“I am passionate about education and committed to giving back to our profession by providing mentoring and ongoing education,” Nangle said. “This class is very important to those professionals desiring to be engaged in leadership management of the business and not just limited to their specialty area. Each one of us needs to know how our organization makes the bottom line or meets the budget.”

For SHRM re-certification, this workshop will satisfy the primary competency of Business Acumen and the secondary competency of Relationship Management. However, the course is designed for a host of industries and professions. For more information, visit ccpe.kennesaw.edu or call 470-578-6765.
