Scogin died from the injuries he sustained in the collision, Cobb police said. Farley was not hurt in the incident.

"Investigators believe Scogin walked into the path of the backing tractor trailer in an attempt to move a
safety pole at the front of the second trailer," Cobb police Lt. Nathan McCreary said in a news release. No charges are expected to be filed, he said.

This collision remains under investigation and anyone with information is requested to contact the Cobb
