Marietta Man Killed After Bus Runs Over His Leg In Kennesaw
The bus ran over the man's leg after he fell next to it while exiting a Kennesaw bus stop.
KENNESAW, GA — A Marietta man who exited a CobbLinc transit bus and fell next to it died Friday after the bus ran over his leg at an Ernest Barrett Parkway bus stop, Cobb County Police said Monday.
The collision happened around 7:30 p.m. at Ernest Barrett near Chastain Meadows Parkway. Police said 65-year-old Stevie Eugene Haskins exited the bus and began to walk east on the sidewalk. He fell next to the bus partially on the sidewalk and partially in the concrete gutter. It's unknown why he hell.
As the bus pulled away from the stop, the right rear tire of the bus ran over his leg, causing serious injuries. Police said the bus driver did not realize the bus had hit Haskins and continued on his route.

About two minutes later, a passerby notified authorities that Haskins was down on the sidewalk. Police said by the time first responders arrived, Haskins was dead.
No charges are expected to be filed in the case, police said. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Cobb County Police, (770) 499-3987.
