Mother Accused Of Sitting On Tot’s Head Indicted In Cobb
BREAKING: The case of Kennesaw mom Susan Elizabeth Kelley went before grand jury recently. She is charged with first-degree child cruelty.

KENNESAW, GA -- A Cobb County mother who allegedly sat on her toddler's head to "gain submission," has been indicted and charged with first-degree child cruelty, Patch has learned.
Susan Elizabeth Kelley of Kennesaw was arrested in the spring 2016 incident, which made national headlines.
She allegedly put a towel on a dining room chair and positioned the boy's head on the seat area, according to news reports.

Law enforcement officials accuse her of sitting on her 2-year-old's head with her full body weight, for about an hour "in an attempt to gain ‘submission’ from the child,” according to an arrest warrant obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The boy, whose chest area, head and back were reddened, became unresponsive and was rushed to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

Kelley's case went before a grand jury on March 23, the newspaper reports.
Her attorney told local media he would enter a plea of not guilty for Kelley during her first hearing.
