Cobb County firefighters used a lifesaving drug to rescue the woman after soot was found in her airway, a media report says.
KENNESAW — An older woman who is paralyzed was saved from a burning North Hampton Drive home by Cobb County firefighters Tuesday, Fox 5 Atlanta reported late Wednesday night.
The woman reportedly had soot in her airway, prompting firefighters to use a lifesaving drug. Fox 5 reported the woman is expected to recover though the fire killed two dogs and six cats.
"Mum's fine, she's going to be fine," Nicola Bunn told Fox 5. "Thank God. She's my best friend. I'm just relieved. It was very scary. You never dream something like this will happen."
