RadioShack Closings: Five in Georgia, Including Kennesaw Store

In the wake of the chain's second bankruptcy, the electronics giant announces closure of 552 stores.

KENNESAW, GA -- RadioShack, once an immensely popular electronics store, is closing 552 of its locations following a second bankruptcy filing, Patch has learned.

The mass store closings -- 36 percent of the chain's locations -- will affect the "lowest sales velocity and highest rent," according to a court filing cited in news reports.

As a result, five RadioShacks in Georgia will close their doors, including several in metro Atlanta.
