Weekender: Sports Spectacular, Railroad Rendezvous, Family Fun Safety Day

This weekend get out to live-action drills, challenges and on-field demonstrations at the Sports Spectacular; and a hobo jungle, live music, interactive train layouts, outdoor games and more at the Railroad Rendezvous.

Kennesaw Sports Spectacular

Discover everything you need to know about league sports at the Kennesaw Sports Spectacular, on Friday, July 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will be held at Adams Park, 2753 Watts Drive.

Take part in live-action drills, challenges and on-field demonstrations along with coaches and volunteers from the Kennesaw Baseball Association, Kennesaw Girls Softball Association, Kennesaw Futbol Club (soccer) and Kennesaw Youth Football Association.

Railroad Rendezvous

Celebrate the love of trains at the Railroad Rendezvous event on July 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. hosted by the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, 2829 Cherokee St.

This family-friendly event at Depot Park and the museum will feature a hobo jungle, live music, interactive train layouts, outdoor games and activities, and railroad safety lessons with Operation Lifesaver. 

Family Fun Safety Day

Bring your family for a fun-filled time of safety awareness. Activities include a tour of Sparky’s House, water safety games, free finger printing kits, up-close emergency vehicles, and more.

Atlanta Ice Cream Festival

This event includes a variety of health and wellness agencies, fitness routines and more. Come to the park, eat some ice cream, and prepare yourself for lots of laughter, break a sweat with the fitness activities, receive information from the participating health/wellness agencies of the Atlanta community and have a great time.  

Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. 1792 County Services Pkwy, Marietta.

Marietta Glover Park Concert Series

The Glover Park Concert series continues on July 26, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., with The Grapevine's beach music and oldies. 

The concert is free and takes place in Glover Park on Marietta Square.
