Wells Fargo Volunteers Help Rehab Kennesaw Home
Wells Fargo team members come out in force for volunteer initiative "Super Saturday."
KENNESAW, GA -- More than 40 volunteers made up of Wells Fargo employees and NW Metro AtlantaHabitat for Humanity team members spent several hours this past weekend working to spruce up a home in Kennesaw. The good deed was part of "Super Saturday," a regional Wells Fargo community service initiative that sends workers out in their respective cities to partner with nonprofit organizations.
Across the Southeast, Super Saturday saw more than 200 Wells Fargo team members working with 12 nonprofits. In addition to Georgia, the initiative included more than 600 volunteers in Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Along with rolling up their employees rolling up their sleeves, Wells Fargo donated $15,000 to NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. The event, which the bank staffers participate in every year, coincides with National Volunteer Month.

The objective of the annual event is to tend to a community's needs, such as contributing to literacy efforts, financial education, sustainable housing, green space, anti-domestic violence programs or ways to help end hunger.
This year, the following nonprofits participated in the program: Atlanta Beltline (partnering with Trees Atlanta), Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta Community Foodbank, Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, Helping MaMas, Habitat Southern Crescent, Literacy Action, North Fulton Community Charities, NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Project Lift’s “Lift a Fork” and The Scholarship Academy.
