It was a great first semester in the classroom for Georgia Gwinnett College’s inaugural group of student-athletes. Fifty-seven players- over half of the college’s student-athlete population- earned Director of Athletics’ Honor Roll marks with a 3.0 or better semester GPA in the fall.
Additionally, 23 posted a 3.5 or above, with five earning a 4.0 GPA.
The men’s tennis team led the way with a 3.44 team average. The women’s tennis team also collected a 3.0 team average as the Grizzlies represented themselves in the classroom for the first time.

“Overall, it was a terrific start for our student-athletes in the fall semester,” said Dr. Darin Wilson, GGC’s Director of Athletics. “Congratulations to our teams and coaches for such a good term and, as always, we will continually strive to improve.”
