Driver Dead In 3-Vehicle Pileup In Gwinnett

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A driver died in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on State Route 316 eastbound at Buford Drive, Lawrenceville Police said.

The crash happened around 12:45 p.m. Police did not say what led to the crash.

SR 316 eastbound was closed around 2:30 p.m. at Collins Hills Road during the police investigation, but two hours later, police said the roadway had been reopened. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and expect delays.

The driver who died was not identified.
