Board of Commissioners Meeting

The Gwinnett Board of Commissoners will meet and is expected to consider the 2012 budget for adoption at the first meeting of the year scheduled for Jan. 3, 2012.

The planned budget (operating and capital) is at $1.3 billion. That includes the use of $5 million in reserve funds, but commissioners say that they intend to keep trimming the budget to avoid the use of the reserve funds.

Also on Tuesday's work session agenda is the creation of and appointments to a Gwinnett County Policy Advisory Committee for the I-85 Alternative Analysis Study. Each of the five commissioners gets one appointment.
