Georgia Mom Stabbed To Death By Her 18-Year-Old Son On Thanksgiving, Gwinnett Police Say
After a Lawrenceville mom was found dead in her home with stab wounds, police arrested her son and charged him with felony murder.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Lawrenceville mom was found stabbed to death on Thanksgiving Day, and now her 18-year-old son has been arrested and charged with felony murder and two other charges.
Just before noon Thursday, Gwinnett County Police Department officers were called to a "domestic related assault" on Misty Valley Court in unincorporated Lawrenceville. They found Marcia Chance, 42, dead in her home from stab wounds, police said in a news release.
Chance's son, 18-year-old Varian Hibbert, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.

Hibbert is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond, according to jail records. Police are still investigating a possible motive.
