Lawrenceville Man Charged with Sodomy, Rape, Robbery
Gwinnett Police believe Kenneth Ervin Starks was involved in an August home invasion where two men were robbed and a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.

A Lawrenceville man has been arrested in connection to local robbery and rape case that occurred last August.
Kenneth Ervin Starks was taken into custody March 28 on charges of robbery, armed robbery and sodomy/aggravated sodomy.Β
According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the August incident occurred on the 400 block of Lexington Drive near Monfort Road and Old Norcross Road around 12:01 a.m. Police received a call indicating that three unknown men entered the home through the unlocked kitchen door.

One suspect had a handgun, another had a shotgun and the third had a baseball bat.
The report states that they physically assaulted two men, 29 and 19, and sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl. The suspects also robbed two of the victims of $300, a $150 microphone and a $600 recording device. The men then fled the scene.

Four children were also home in the residence during the incident, but none of them were hurt.
According to Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith, Starks is suspected to be one of the armed men. It was not indicated if anyone else had been arrested and charged in the incident.
Starks also was arrested and charged with battery Sept. 18 by the same police department.
