Shirwa, of Lawrenceville, was involved in a minor collision on the interstate involving one other vehicle. This incident caused both vehicles to be in the right lane of vehicular travel. Based on the preliminary investigation, police say Ridwan got out of his vehicle and stepped into the roadway. While he was in the roadway, he was struck by a passing motorist.
That motorist, Victoria Allen, 30, of Lawrenceville, was driving a maroon 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. After her vehicle struck Ridwan, her vehicle came to a rest just north of the impact location.
