'Skeletonized' Skull Found Near Duluth Highway In Lawrenceville

Lawrenceville Police told Patch they are working to determine if the skull is human.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — An investigation is underway after construction workers found a skull Monday near State Route 316 East at Duluth Highway, Lawrenceville Police told Patch.

The skull, which has not been confirmed as human, appeared to be "skeletonized," police said. No additional body parts were located, police said.

Authorities are partnering with the medical examiner's office on the case.
