2 Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested In Lilburn During Police Chase

Lilburn officers joined the search for the suspects after Gwinnett officers lost sight of the suspects' vehicle, police said.

LILBURN — Two armed robbery suspects were arrested after a police chase involving Gwinnett and Lilburn police officers Friday afternoon.

Lilburn Police said Gwinnett officers were chasing the two unidentified suspects in a vehicle around 2 p.m., when officers lost sight of the vehicle.

Lilburn officers started searching for the vehicle, which they found vacant behind a Lawrenceville Highway business, police said.

As Gwinnett officers arrived, Lilburn officers saw one of the suspects leave a store in a shopping center. Officers then chased the suspect on foot, police said.

One of the suspects was arrested in front of the shopping center while the second suspect was arrested behind the shopping center, police said, adding the second suspect had a stolen pistol on him.

"Please don't bring this mess to Lilburn, you WILL loose and you WILL get caught," police said on Facebook.

Police did not provide details relating to the armed robbery in the county.
