
Gwinnett County Elections office is looking for poll workers to work the 2012 elections.
“We have a busy elections season ahead of us and with more than 150 polling locations in Gwinnett, it will take several thousand poll officials to staff an election,” Elections Supervisor Lynn Ledford said in a press release.
These are the requirements if you're thinking of apply:
- Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Gwinnett County or a Gwinnett County Government employee
- Applicant must be at least 16 years old
- Applicant cannot hold or run for public office while serving as a poll official
- You must have transportation to and from the polling location and have access to a computer to complete the online training
Poll officials earn $110 – $250 per day, depending on their position and includes during the required training before the election. All poll officials must report to their polls by 6 a.m. on Election Day and work the whole day - about 14 hours.
