The following is an email letter sent to those involved in the Christmas parade from Andrew Bell, Lilburn Business Association president:
"I hope this thank you note finds you enjoying your Monday after a great weekend. Thank you for making this year's Lilburn Christmas Parade another amazing success.Â
"The weather was beautiful, I saw more smiling faces than I could count, there was a ton of candy thrown, and we raised just over 4,000 cans for the Lilburn Co-Op!!!! I think that deserves a ROUND OF APPLAUSE wherever you may be reading this!Â

"For it being the first year that we've attempted such a large canned food effort, you all answered the call, and we were able to send over truck after truck load of canned food to the Co-Op to be given out right before holiday time. Â
The Parkview Marching Band "CANNED" the other bands and won the $750.00 grand prize awarded in that category! The Meadowcreek Theater Department won the $250.00 prize for the school group category! Â

"The Mountain Park Athletic Association took 1st place ($250.00) in the Non-Profit Category! Boy Scout Troop 577 took 2nd place ($150.00)! And Daisy Troop 2413 took 3rd place ($100.00)!Â
"Congratulations to these groups for working so hard and winning these prizes! I look forward to hearing what you were able to do with your winnings! Â
"We would not have been able to award these prizes without the help of our sponsors and partners - Chic-Fila, BB&T, Lilburn Realty, Action Fitness, The City of Lilburn, Lilburn Women's Club, Lilburn Mail and Package, Music on Main, Eddie's Automotive, Gwinnett Gymnastics, Home Depot, Seven Oaks Academy, Sterling Painting and Construction, Scarborough and Friends, Harmony Grove UMC, Tucker Methodist Church, and Dorough Landscaping. In addition, the help of the City, the Lilburn Police, Music on Main, Lilburn Baptist and Salem Baptist Church made things run so smooth logistically.Â
"Next, without the help of our volunteers - a lot of what you saw and experienced on Saturday would not have been possible. A special thank you to Mr. David Chandley who does such a great job as our emcee every year. Finally, I would like to personally thank Santa for making his way to Lilburn for us on Saturday and also to his special elf who made such an awesome entrance. Â
"That's all for now folks! I hope everyone had a great time on Saturday and I look forward to another great year for all of us! See you soon!"
