CLEARWATER, FL (11/15/2012)(readMedia)-- On November 10, the Clearwater Christian College women's soccer team won the National Christian Colleges Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championship. The Lady Cougars clinched a 4-1 victory over Baptist Bible College and won their first ever national title. Also, during regular season play, the Lady Cougars outscored their NCCAA DII opponents 61-2, with 12 shutouts.
Madeline Tewes of Snellville played midfielder and forward for the 2012 Cougars. A junior Physical Education major at CCC, she is a graduate of Killian Hill Christian School in Lilburn, GA, and the daughter of Scott and Marcia Tewes of Snellville, GA.
Four Lady Cougars were honored by being named to the all tournament team – goalkeeper Brook Buffalo, defender Whitney Redemann, midfielder Rebecca Farrell, and forward Tori Hale.
