Harassing Phone Calls About Debt Turns Into Inquiries for Paid Sex
An employee at a health care center in Lilburn said she has no idea who's been making the calls to her.
A Lilburn woman says an unknown collection agency that had repeatedly harassed her over the phone for money has escalated into inquiries about prostitution.
According to the Lilburn Police report, the 28-year-old told police that she had received several calls from the same number with a Pennsylvania area code. She answered the phone in the beginning, and the caller advised her that the reason for his call was to "collect an outstanding debt," says the report.
When she asked them for more information, they refused to give it to her, so she hung up and stopped answering his calls.

When she didn't pick up the phone, though, he started calling her place of work, which is a health care center in Lilburn. The unknown caller then started harassing the center's call taker.
That employee told police that she received a phone call early in the morning from an unknown law office requesting information about one of their employees. She informed them that the company's policy doesn't allow that action without the employee's consent and hung up. But he only continued to call and ask again.

She said it got to the point where he would call the work place constantly. Eventually, it stopped, but recently, she received a call from a local 404 number.
The unknown caller began to ask her for personal information on the same employee again, and then began to ask her for how much she charged for oral sex. He also reiterated that he knew where she worked.
The victim said the man sounded like he had an Indian accent both times.
Police obtained both phone numbers. When the officer dialed the local number, a woman answered the phone and said it was her personal cell phone. She had not called the health care center, she said, nor did she let anyone use her phone.
