Lilburn Man Charged With Murder In Killing Of Bowdon Woman: Police

LILBURN, GA — A Lilburn man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old Celeste Lawson, Gwinnett police said Monday.

Lawson, of Bowdon, died after being shot near Burns Road around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Gwinnett police responded to a report of a person down in the front yard of a home. Police said Lawson died on the scene.

Andre Marvell King, 49, is charged with aggravated assault and felony murder in connection with her death, police said.
