• Teen kills Uber driver trying to make extra money on New Year's Day (scallywagandvagabond.com) — A 15-year-old from Lilburn has been charged as an adult in the fatal New Year’s Day carjacking of Uber driver Cesar Tejada in nearby Lawrenceville. Police say Tejada, a Grayson resident and father of two, was shot while working an early-morning ride, with investigators using Uber data and camera systems to quickly identify and arrest the teen suspect.
   

• Auburn transfer CB Jay Crawford commits to SEC program (saturdaydownsouth.com) — A standout SEC cornerback with roots at Parkview High School in Lilburn is transferring from Auburn to Ole Miss after two strong seasons. The former four-star recruit, once heavily courted by major programs, has been labeled one of the top cornerbacks in the transfer portal and is expected to bolster Ole Miss’s defense immediately.
