Teen Who Went Missing In Lilburn Found Alive In Morrow

LILBURN, GA — A Stone Mountain teenage girl who went missing in May from her Lilburn school has been reunited with her family, Gwinnett County Police said Friday.

Police said the teen was found at a Sanders Drive home in Morrow. Police found her at the home after receiving information that she may be there.

The teen was found there with Russell Cheeves, 41, of Morrow. Gwinnett County Police charged Cheeves on suspicion of enticing a child for indecent purposes and interference with custody.

Police said in the past the teen was last seen May 24 after taking an exam. Her cell phone was turned off a few hours later, and she had no activity on social media. She did not have access to money or a car, and the behavior were not normal for her, police said.

Cheeves is currently incarcerated in Clayton County in connection with crimes that are alleged to have happened at the home in Morrow.
