Suspect Wanted In Lilburn Shooting That Killed Man Surrenders
Police said the man turned himself in Tuesday and was charged on suspicion of felony murder and other charges.
LILBURN, GA — The suspect accused in the shooting death of a 45-year-old man in Lilburn Saturday has turned himself in to authorities, Gwinnett County Police said Thursday.
Miguel Rodriguez, 19, is charged on suspicion of felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a felony in connection with the shooting death of Felipe Velasco, police said.
Officers responded about 12:40 a.m. to a shooting in the 1400 block of Fox Forest Court Southwest, where they found Velasco suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. Velasco was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

Authorities said they believe Rodriguez was visiting the home when an argument took place between he and Velasco, resulting in the shooting.
Rodriguez turned himself in Tuesday to the Gwinnett Detention Center, police said.
