5 Injured In Loganville Blaze

WATCH: Firefighters tend to a blaze that consumed a Gwinnett County home, injuring five people.

LOGANVILLE, GA β€” Gwinnett County fire officials say the cause of a house fire that injured five people, including two children, on Saturday in Loganville is undetermined.

Accidental sources at the fire's origin cannot be ruled out, Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services said Thursday.

The blaze sparked around 4 a.m. in the 3800 block of Bay Cove Trail Southeast at a two-story home.

The 911 caller, who was in a bathroom with a woman, told dispatch they were becoming overwhelmed with smoke, according to the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.

Ten minutes later, crews arrived to find fire on both floors of the home, fire officials said. After entering the house, fire officials said crews found two unresponsive adults and extricated them through a window.

The adults then received medical care on-site as firefighters worked to knock down the flames, which were extinguished around 4:45 a.m., fire officials said.

A third adult and two children escaped the house before crews arrived, fire officials said. They were taken to the hospital in stable condition, fire officials. Two adults were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Video fire officials released on Facebook appeared to show firefighters tending to the extensive blaze.

"Our hearts go out to the family and the community during this difficult time," fire officials said in a news release.
